The Steinbrenner Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Carrollwood Day Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Steinbrenner was able to grind out a solid victory over Armwood, taking the game 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Kelton Meares and Austin Liss made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Meares didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Liss pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. The dominant performance gave Meares a new career-high in strikeouts. At bat, Meares scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Liss scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Meares is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Nick Osborne was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Mason Koumas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Steinbrenner was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Armwood only posted a batting average of .111.
Meanwhile, Carrollwood Day owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Tampa Prep. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Terrapins: they've now won three in a row.
The team relied heavily on Steven Vargo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Steinbrenner's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Carrollwood Day, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything went Steinbrenner's way against Carrollwood Day when the teams last played back in April of 2021, as Steinbrenner made off with a 19-2 win. Does Steinbrenner have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carrollwood Day turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
