Oakman is 8-2 against Curry since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Oakman Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Curry Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Oakman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Oakman was able to grind out a solid win over Meek, taking the game 63-50. With that win, Oakman brought their scoring average up to 56 points per game.
Rick Johnson had an outrageously good game as he scored 32 points. Another player making a difference was Trenton Warren, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Curry, who are still winless after their sixth game. They had to suffer through a rough 65-33 loss at the hands of Dora. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Curry in their matchups with Dora: they've now lost three in a row.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Oakman's win pushed their record up to 2-0, while Meek's defeat dropped theirs down to 0-2.
Oakman didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Curry when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 66-60 win. Will Oakman repeat their success, or does Curry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
