The Booker Kiowas will head out on the road to take on the Sunray Bobcats at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Booker focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Booker had to settle for a 45-43 loss against West Texas.
Booker might have lost, but man, Hagen Chisum was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 55.8% of Booker's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Rosales, who scored five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Sunray suffered a tough 70-47 defeat at the hands of Sanford-Fritch two weeks ago.
Booker's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Sunray, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Booker came up short against Sunray in their previous meeting back in January, falling 56-44. Can Booker avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
