The Cypress Centurions will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against the Kennedy Fighting Irish at 3:15  p.m. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Tuesday, Cypress got themselves on the board against Valencia, but Valencia never followed suit. They walked away with  a   5-0  win over the Tigers. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Cypress.
 Cypress let  Taylor Monteleone and  Breana Townsend loose on the outfield. Monteleone  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances, while  Townsend  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.  Makayla Bishop was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Kennedy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They beat the Tillers by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  12-0.
  Riley Davison looked comfortable as she  tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Kennedy let  Jade Narike and  Alexandra Chavarin loose on the outfield. Narike  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Chavarin  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Narike is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Natalie Headley, who  went 2-for-2 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and a  run.
 Cypress has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record  this season. As for Kennedy, they now  have a winning record of 9-8.
 Cypress came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennedy  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023, sneaking past  4-3. Does  Cypress have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kennedy turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
