The Tree of Life Christian Trojans will head out on the road to take on the West Jefferson Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tree of Life Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Tree of Life Christian pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Madison Christian by a score of 57-55.
Despite their defeat, Tree of Life Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jacob Brown, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jesse Kanu, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, West Jefferson came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Middletown Christian by a score of 49-40 on Saturday. The victory was just what West Jefferson needed coming off of a 63-38 defeat in their prior game.
Tree of Life Christian dropped their record down to 11-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for West Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 5-15.
Tree of Life Christian strolled past West Jefferson when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 62-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tree of Life Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
