The Banneker Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hapeville Charter Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
Banneker couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They were the victim of a rough 10-0 loss at the hands of Mundy's Mill on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Banneker in their matchups with Mundy's Mill: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Hapeville Charter's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Miller Grove 2-1. The win was just what Hapeville Charter needed coming off of a 10-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Quran Rogers was the driving force of Hapeville Charter's attack as she scored both of Hapeville Charter's goals. With that big game, she's now up to two goals this season.
