St. Bernard was the 3-2 winner over St. Anthony when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 17-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints on Friday. Even though they lost, the Vikings' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Chase Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Royce McKenzie, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

St. Bernard has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-4 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for St. Anthony, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

St. Bernard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 win against Salesian on the 8th. As for St. Anthony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-4 victory against St. Margaret's on the 5th.
