Isaiah Dewitt and Masyn Chalfant certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Dewitt rushed for 136 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while Chalfant rushed for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Chalfant's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season. Cooper Engle was another key back, rushing for 83 yards and one TD.
Trent Deloney went supernova For Northeastern., picking up 161 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Deloney was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 67 yards.
Tri's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northeastern, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
