Logan Stafford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13-for-21 en route to 31 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Xayden Watson, who posted six points in addition to 13 assists and six rebounds.
Trinity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, Northwood Temple Academy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Westchester Country Day 69-54. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Wildcats are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity Christian better keep an eye on Jalen Harris. He was instrumental in Northwood Temple Academy's win, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Harris is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last nine games he's played. Elijah Kindle was another key player, putting up 15 points.
Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Northwood Temple Academy, their win bumped their record up to 22-10.
Thursday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Trinity Christian has been crazy accurate this season, having drained 51.3% of their shots per game. However, it's not like Northwood Temple Academy struggles in that department as they've nailed 47.8% of their field goals this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
