Stratford was the  12-5 winner over Wynnewood when they last played one another  back in April of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Stratford Bulldogs suffered a  tough 12-4 defeat at the hands of the Wynnewood Savages  on Friday. Stratford has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Canaan Weddle and  Walker Chandler stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Weddle  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while  Chandler  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-3.  Camon Mcknew was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases.
 On Wynnewood's side,  Aidan Bailey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. Bailey was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Aaron Lyle was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Caleb Dixon, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.
 Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Wynnewood, the  win was  the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
 Stratford will head out on the road to  square off against  Konawa at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Stratford is facing Konawa at the right time seeing as Konawa is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for Wynnewood, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Wayne at 6:00  p.m. Wynnewood is on a three-game streak of home wins, Wayne a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
