Meanwhile, Heartland Lutheran lost to Central Valley on the road by a decisive 46-29 margin on Thursday. Heartland Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Edward dropped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road. As for Heartland Lutheran, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
St. Edward was dealt a bruising 61-10 loss at the hands of Heartland Lutheran in their previous meeting last Tuesday. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Edward was down 38-5.
