It'll be a Battle of the Birds when North Forney Falcons take on Rockwall-Heath Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Things were looking good for North Forney after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tyler Legacy. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abigail Gallardo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Brianna Hardrick was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, Rockwall-Heath was able to grind out a solid victory over Scurry-Rosser on Friday, taking the game 11-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.
Rockwall-Heath also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Alex Pitre gave up three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Rockwall-Heath let Piper Moore and Sophia Morin run wild. Moore went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double, while Morin went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. Moore continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Scott, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Rockwall-Heath was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 6-9. As for North Forney, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11-1.
North Forney came up short against Rockwall-Heath in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 5-1. Can North Forney avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
