Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Michael Anthony Delivers Electric Performance Vs Camp Verde
Starting off the list is Cortez's Michael Anthony, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Anthony rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.
Camp Verde had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Anthony it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Anthony saw the Cowboys), he rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Joshua Mchale and Co. Win Third in a Row
Joshua Mchale's big game helped extend Glendale Prep Academy's winning streak to three on Friday. Mchale did his part (and then some), throwing for 260 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 41 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Highland Prep, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mchale. When Mchale last faced the Honey Badgers back in October of 2023, he threw for 116 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Jamerrius Anthony Delivers Best Effort of Season
Cortez came up short on Friday despite Jamerrius Anthony delivering his best game to date. Anthony rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 99 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Cortez's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
This season, Anthony has thrown those 1 touchdown (and no picks) while averaging 19 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 17.43 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 64.71 rushing yards.
