Antwerp has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Fairview Apaches at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Antwerp lost to Lincolnview at home by a decisive 42-28 margin.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Fairview's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty Center. While losing is never fun, Fairview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Liberty Center is ranked 98th).
Antwerp's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-5.
Antwerp suffered a grim 53-32 defeat to Fairview when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Antwerp avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
