Those 471 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Adams. Nolan Adams also helped out as he racked up 131 receiving yards.
Whitwell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Clay County, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Whitwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clay County, they will face off against South Pittsburg on Friday. South Pittsburg will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
