Norton is 8-2 against the Plainsmen since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Norton Bluejays will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oakley Plainsmen at 7:30 p.m. Norton will be strutting in after a win while the Plainsmen will be coming in after a loss.
Norton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 76-53 margin over Plainville.
Norton can attribute much of their success to Eli Jones, who scored 22 points along with two steals, and Roman Hauser, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hauser has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylen Murray, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Oakley came up short against the Broncos on Friday and fell 45-35. Oakley has struggled against the Broncos recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Norton's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Oakley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Norton beat the Plainsmen 41-33 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Does Norton have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Plainsmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
