The Glendale Vikings will challenge the Williamsburg Biue Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williamsburg took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Glendale, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Glendale made easy work of Curwensville and carried off a 3-0 win.
The final set scores came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-13.
Rosalie McClellan was her usual excellent self, getting 13 aces, nine kills, and nine digs. Avery Crynock was another key player, getting nine kills and eight digs.
Meanwhile, Williamsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy. While the Biue Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the WolfPack 25-21 in the first set.
Williamsburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 25-15, 25-17.
Glendale will need to focus on slowing down Jordan Flaig, one of several Williamsburg players who made an impact when they last played. She had 17 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Addison Johnson, who had 18 assists and seven digs.
Williamsburg has now lost four of their last five games at home. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Glendale, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
