Despite the defeat, Malcolm saw an underclassman step up: Halle Dolliver dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Dolliver is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Abby Zegar was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Beatrice's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Malcolm, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beatrice will take on Norris at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Norris is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Malcolm, they will be playing at home against Wahoo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Wahoo is ranked 52nd, while Malcolm is ranked 46th).
