The Alonso Ravens will challenge the Chamberlain Storm at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Alonso and Newsome, and Newsome kept the tradition alive. The Ravens lost  12-1 to the Wolves on Tuesday. The Ravens haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
 Alonso saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Makenna Sturgis, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Chamberlain made easy work of Tampa Bay Tech  on Monday and carried off  a  12-1 win. Considering the Storm have won six matches by more than ten  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Daria Bush made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Isabella Dominguez was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Jayda Ausman-Hall, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  RBI.
 Chamberlain  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tampa Bay Tech only posted  an  OBP of  .158.
 Chamberlain has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Alonso, they now  have a losing record of 7-8.
 Everything went Alonso's way against Chamberlain in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024, as Alonso made off with  an  8-0 win. Will the Ravens repeat their success,  or do  the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
