If Unicoi County were riding high off their 53-8 takedown of North Greene two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Unicoi County fell to Happy Valley 14-27. Unicoi County's loss signaled the end of their 3-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, Claiborne ended up a good deal behind Union County when they played last Friday, losing 16-36.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. If Claiborne want to win, Claiborne will need to focus on stopping Unicoi County's junior Kody Lewis, who rushed for 77 yards and 1 touchdown, and sophomore Brock Thompson, who accumulated 105 passing yards and picked up 32 yards on the ground. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
