Two dominant backs in Jackson Kerr and Lyric Blake are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Williamstown Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Doddridge County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Williamstown put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They took down South Harrison 54-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Williamstown can attribute much of their success to Breck Allen, who threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and Jackson Fulton, who gained 67 total yards and two touchdowns. Allen's passing game has become a key predictor of the Yellowjackets' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
Williamstown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, Doddridge County blew past Braxton County, posting a 45-15 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Williamstown better keep an eye on Brysen Dixon. He was instrumental in Doddridge County's win, throwing for 199 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Dixon a new career-high. Brycen Eidel helped Dixon out on the ground, rushing for 60 yards and one score, while also catching one touchdown.
Williamstown's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Doddridge County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
Everything went Williamstown's way against Doddridge County in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Williamstown made off with a 35-13 win. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
