The Commerce Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Palmer Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Commerce is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.5 runs per game this season.
Commerce proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Mahar Regional 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since April 1st.
Adrianna Medina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nyasia Garcia was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Genevieve Conis-Koffman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Palmer owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They blew past Pathfinder RVT 6-0.
Not much got past Jillian Holbrook, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Pathfinder RVT off the board.
On the hitting side, Palmer's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Roy, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Palmer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Commerce, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Commerce has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .612. However, it's not like Palmer struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Commerce couldn't quite finish off Palmer in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 15-13. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
