The Carrington Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Thompson 72-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carrington in their matchups with the Tommies: they've now lost eight in a row.
Thompson was led to victory by Karter Peterson and Drew Overby. Peterson dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Overby scored 18 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Gavin Krogstad, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Carrington dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Thompson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrington will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Hornets at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Harvey has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three matches. As for Thompson, they will head out on the road to square off against the Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
