Central Regional came within a touchdown against Howell on Friday, but wound up with a 12-21 loss. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Central Regional.
The loss dropped Central Regional's record to 0-2. The win got Howell out to a 1-0 start for the season.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Central Regional will look to defend their home turf next week against Freehold Township at 7:00 PM. Howell will stay at home against Toms River North at 6:30 PM.
