Leesburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Saige McCloud, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was McCloud's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ariyana Hester, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 steals.
Tavares has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Leesburg, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Tavares will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Umatilla at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
