The Oasis Christian Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Ridgeview Global Studies Academy Explorers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Oasis Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
Oasis Christian pushed their score all the way to 67, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Fort Meade 71-67.
Despite their loss, Oasis Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Daniel Evangelisto, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Landon Gall, who scored 8 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy struggled with assists on Tuesday (Lakeland Christian had 1400% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy was dealt a 71-24 loss at the hands of Lakeland Christian. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.
Despite the loss, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy saw an underclassman step up: Omar Maldonado scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Oasis Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 44-39 victory.
