Bryant is 2-8 against Robertsdale since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bryant Hurricanes' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Robertsdale Golden Bears at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Bryant pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Vigor an easy 77-57 win. While losing is never fun, Bryant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Vigor is ranked 70th).
Meanwhile, Robertsdale was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 55-51 to Chickasaw. Robertsdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bryant bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Robertsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Bryant came up short against Robertsdale in their previous meeting back in November, falling 48-43. Can Bryant avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
