6A District 4 recap October 8, 2013
St. Augustine added to the longest winning streak in 6A District 4 this week by beating Nease, 42-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
St. Augustine took down the Panthers 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Bartram Trail's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. PJ Blazejowski threw for 49 yards and PJ Blazejowski had 28 yards receiving. On the ground David Coleman contributed 164 yards. Angel Toyens helped Bartram Trail's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 26 yards.
Coleman was a passing and rushing force as the Bears lost to Buchholz.
Coleman was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 164 yards on 24 carries as Bartram Trail fell to the Bobcats. Blazejowski also contributed to the rushing game with 35 yards on the ground.
On the heels of Blazejowski and Coleman, Darrell Sutherland's team has had great success on offense. Blazejowski is tops in the league in passing with 702 yards, while Coleman has rushed for 540 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Nease's Justin Johnson, with 180 yards on 9 catches.
Joey Wiles' team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 995 from 1,082. The improvement was the result of a 42-0 victory over Shane Mattews' team last week.
