FLEMINGTON, N.J. -
Ridge (Basking Ridge, N.J.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 27-13 victory over
Hunterdon Central (Flemington, N.J.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Conor Hughes in the first quarter, the Red Devils led 17-7 at the half.
Ridge grew its lead to 13 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS's lone score in the quarter came on a field goal by Hughes.
The Basking Ridge school came into the game allowing 13.4 points per game. Hunterdon Central's 13 points were well below their season average of 23.7 per game.
The loss was the third in a row for Hunterdon Central.
