The Andrean Fighting 59ers will head out to square off against the Lowell Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a seven-game winning streak alive.
Andrean barely beat Hanover Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Fighting 59ers never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Fighting 59ers, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Andrean's win came down to the chemistry between Dylan Gore and his top target Tyler Vo. Gore threw for 89 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes while Vo picked up 73 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Vo a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Andrean proved: they limited Hanover Central to a paltry 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Ethan Reyna for the heroic effort on defense: he. Andrean hasn't allowed more than 3.6 yards per carry in four consecutive matchups.
Andrean didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bruce Moorhouse and Reyna.
Meanwhile, Lowell was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Munster 49-14. The Red Devils are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth contest they've won by 20+ points this season.
While passing duties were split, you can't argue with the impact Gavin Gutierrez and Brody Kalwinski both made on the game. Gutierrez picked up 123 receiving yards and a pair of TDs while Kalwinski threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 69 yards.
Andrean's record now sits at 7-1. As for Lowell, their record is now an identical 7-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Andrean has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 179.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lowell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 230.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Andrean was able to grind out a solid victory over Lowell when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 27-14. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Red Devils' Colton Scott, who rushed for 128 yards and one score. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Fighting 59ers to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
