 Lapel is headed out to face Frankton after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Lapel walked away with  a   29-20  win over Hamilton Heights  on Friday.
 Lapel's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Rylie Hudson, who picked up 141 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Lapel wouldn't let Hamilton Heights keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Lapel can thank  Evan Borkowski and  Jayden Lindsey for forcing both of them.
 Frankton kicked off their season on the road  on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. The  game between them and Eastern Hancock wasn't particularly close, with Frankton falling  63-49.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Brady Carmack, who picked up 145 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was  Trey Bennett, who picked up 87 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
 Lapel and Frankton were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup  back in August of 2023, but Lapel came up empty-handed after  a  38-37 defeat. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Frankton's  Nate Luzadder, who rushed for 179 yards and five touchdowns.
