Elmore County has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Holtville Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Elmore County suffered a rough 59-36 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Elmore County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Tigers are ranked 120th).
Meanwhile, Holtville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. The contest between them and Reeltown wasn't particularly close, with Holtville falling 55-38.
Elmore County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Holtville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
