Quincy is a perfect 10-0 against Portola since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Quincy and Biggs had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Trojans came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 7-3 last Thursday. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Wolverines on their field since April 19, 2017.

Jemma Trueblood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Adrian Goulet was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
Portola let Hamilton stack five runs on them in the second inning last Friday but luckily Portola prevailed anyway. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Braves, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 22, 2024.
Portola also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Clara Klemesrud gave up just two earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Pucca Bautista, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Tuscany Duncan also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Portola has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Quincy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Quincy took their win against Portola in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 34-15 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
