It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-31, which was the final score in Leupp Boarding's tilt against the Lion on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Leupp Boarding can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Lion are ranked 97th).
Meanwhile, Verde Valley didn't even let the Panthers onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Friday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Verde Valley has scored all year.
Leupp Boarding's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Verde Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Leupp Boarding was taken down by the Coyotes 59-15 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Leupp Boarding was down 38-6.
