Independence won the last time they faced Greenbrier East and things went their way on Saturday too. The Patriots were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Greenbrier East, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.
