St. Joseph lost against New Canaan back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. The Cadets took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.  St. Joseph lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Mary DeCaro, who  had 26  digs and two  aces. She has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  aces the last three times she's  played.  Lilly Kugit was another key player,  getting 28 assists and six  digs.
 New Canaan can attribute much of their success to  Mia Lockyer, who  had 22  digs and six  aces. That's the most  aces  Lockyer has posted since back in September.
St. Joseph now  has a losing record of 8-9. As for New Canaan, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Joseph is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Staples  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, New Canaan will  take on  rival Trumbull  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
