Rochester took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Beaver Falls Tigers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Logan Lyons and Devin Woodley did most of the damage at the plate: Lyons scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Woodley went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Jett Williams was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
This is the second loss in a row for Beaver Falls and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
