It was a good run, but the Charter Oak Chargers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilson. Charter Oak was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wilson apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.
Wilson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Kayode, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Kayode has scored at least 25% of Wilson's points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Wong, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Charter Oak's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Wilson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Charter Oak won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jurupa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. Jurupa Valley is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Wilson will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Claremont at 4:30 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Claremont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
