Clinton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Rockland Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Clinton is ranked 119th, while Rockland is ranked 115th).
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clinton walked away with it. They breezed by South Shore Vo-Tech at home to the tune of 38-8. Considering Clinton has won four matches by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Clinton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Cox out in front who rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Axel Ramos also helped out as he racked up 100 rushing yards.
Clinton's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Cox and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Rockland's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 14-7 win over Millbury. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Rockland was the (much) better team in the second half.
Their wins bumped Clinton to 5-4 and Rockland to 6-3.
