Franklin County is 1-9 against East Central since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Franklin County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Franklin County got the win against Union County by a conclusive 18-7. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

Bailey Kaiser was incredible, firing off two home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. Those nine RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annie Hoff, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.
Franklin County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .529 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, East Central finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They came up short against New Palestine, falling 8-0. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Franklin County pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for East Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
East Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Franklin County has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.1 hits per game. It's a different story for East Central, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Franklin County's sizable advantage in that area, the Trojans will need to find a way to close that gap.
Franklin County might still be hurting after the 10-3 loss they got from East Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
