It was a good run, but the Spruce Timberwolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 45-27 bruising from Grand Prairie.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mesoulay Williams, who scored 9 points. Williams scored a full 33.3% of Spruce's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tionnie Williams, who scored 7 points.
Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Grand Prairie, the last time they lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spruce will square off against West Mesquite at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Mesquite comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Grand Prairie, they will head out on the road to face off against Sam Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sam Houston is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
