Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, Ky.) snapped
Frankfort (Ky.)'s 8-game winning streak, with a 35-13 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Tigers led 21-7 at the half.
Beechwood expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored once in the quarter on a rushing touchdown.
The Fort Mitchell school's most effective player was
Miles Sletto. The junior wide receiver kicked three extra points.
The Panthers'
Aaron Jackson played well. The senior wide receiver caught two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to 17 on the year.
Frankfort came in giving up 14.3 points per game this season. The Tigers came in allowing an average of 21.2 points per game this season. The defense really stepped up, holding FHS well below its season average of 32.7 points scored per game.
BHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 51-19.
With the win the Tigers extended their winning streak to three games.
