The Veritas Christian Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to Kickapoo Nation for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-15 win on the road. The win was just what Veritas Christian needed coming off of a 70-42 defeat in their prior matchup.
Veritas Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abel Ney, who scored ten points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Alvarez, who scored seven points along with five steals.
The win got Veritas Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Kickapoo Nation, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Veritas Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bishop Seabury Academy at 8:30 p.m. on January 5th. Bishop Seabury Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Kickapoo Nation does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
