Given Lapel's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Tigers are ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lapel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bode Judge led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Judge posted two or more blocks. Devin Craig was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Lapel's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Lapel will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will be playing at home against the Yellow Jackets at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Morristown is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
