It was a good run, but the Union-Endicott Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a hard 69-50 fall against Seton Catholic Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Union-Endicott has scored all season.
Seton Catholic Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Erickson out in front who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The game was Erickson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Hopf, who scored 22 points.
Union-Endicott's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1. As for Seton Catholic Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union-Endicott will square off against Vestal at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Seton Catholic Central is on the road again on Friday and play against Chenango Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 5th. Chenango Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Seton Catholic Central is ranked 76th).
