In what's become a running theme this season, the Pahrump Valley Trojans gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 51-28 margin over The Meadows School. The win was nothing new for Pahrump Valley as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pahrump Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Moore, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kailani Martinez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tessa Lalanne, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Verdirame, who scored six points along with two steals.
The Meadows School struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Pahrump Valley racked up 18 assists.
Pahrump Valley pushed their record up to 24-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. As for The Meadows School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahrump Valley will challenge Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Pahrump Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday. As for The Meadows School, they will head out on the road to face off against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Meadows School is facing Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at the right time seeing as Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
