If Kingsburg wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Central Valley Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Ja'Khari Burrell. The Cavaliers slipped by the Vikings 21-20 on Friday with plenty of help from Burrell, who rushed for 144 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. He has become a key player for Central Valley Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise.

Kingsburg's loss came despite strong showings from Cooper Holt and Kade Holt. Cooper picked up 110 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Kade gained 71 total yards.

Central Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Kingsburg, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.
