Richland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 61-35 loss at the hands of Lake Dallas.
Meanwhile, Abilene pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were outmatched by Monterey at home and fell 98-57. It was the first time this season that Abilene let down their fans at home.
Richland's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-11. As for Abilene, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
Richland came up short against Abilene in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 49-43. Can Richland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
