In what's become a running theme this season, Sargent County gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Richland with a sharp 63-42 win. Given Sargent County's advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Colts are ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Wyndmere/Lidgerwood had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Enderlin with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 56-42.
Sargent County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Wyndmere/Lidgerwood, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
Everything went Sargent County's way against the Warbirds in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the Bulldogs made off with a 62-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sargent County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
