Francis Parker Charter Essential School took care of business in their home opener on Friday (barely). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Sizer 45-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Francis Parker Charter Essential School also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Liam Almond was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 17 points along with 9 assists and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Jake Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Francis Parker Charter Essential School's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Sizer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Francis Parker Charter Essential School will square off against Bromfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sizer will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Lancaster Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
